Dreamland Resort is at the northern end of Thong Nai Pan Yai beach. It`s a big operation with 50 bungalows near the beach for rent. Dreamland Resort offers both budget bungalows and good quality mid-range accommodation. The resort has been running for many years. Most of the staff speak English and the service is good.
The bungalows range from simple wooden bungalows with fan and cold water to spacious family-sized air-con bungalows set in lush tropical gardens near the beach. Deluxe bungalows have a sofa, fridge and flat screen TV. All bungalows except for the fan bungalows come with hot water and air-con.
The resort includes a small supermarket, a popular beachfront restaurant, an internet shop and a big swimming pool with bar.
Attached to Dreamland Resort is Dreamland Divers. It`s a PADI certified dive shop that offers dive courses as well as recreational dives. It`s also possible to hire out kayaks and bodyboards. Dreamland Resort will also organize boat trips, speed boat hire, taxis and motorbike hire.
Overall, Dreamland Resort is an unpretentious bungalow set-up that over the years has upgraded. Although the bungalows are well maintained, little attempt has been made to give the place a 'boutique facelift'. The menu is still curries, noodles and burgers and the same odd art deco reception area has been there for years.
